These rides are a favorite for cyclists who

focus on building fitness, strength, and speed. Average pace of is around 16-18 mph for around 20 miles and includes some sprints. We often split into two groups to accommodate a Touring Pace (13-15 mph). There may be an option to increase speed and/or distance depending on the riders who show up.

Regularly scheduled Training Rides depart on Tuesday and Thursdays at 6:30pm from the northwest corner of East Ave and Lake Street (by the OPRF High School stadium).

You must have lights on your bike for all evening rides (white in front and red in rear). Reflective, bright clothing also recommended. Helmets and a spare tube are required for all rides.

These are fun, leisurely rides. We see who shows up, and will go a pace/distance based on those participants. We go no faster than the slowest rider and we never leave any rider behind. All riders are welcome, no matter what your age or ability. Don't let fear of the unknown keep you away from this ride!

Regularly scheduled Show-and-Go Rides depart on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. from the northwest corner of East Ave and Lake Street (by the OPRF High School stadium).

You must have lights on your bike for all evening rides (white in front and red in rear). Reflective, bright clothing also recommended. Helmets and a spare tube are required for all rides.

Many of our rides are scheduled without much advance notice. Rides can be as simple as a casual evening roll, a more endurance-distance off-road ride, a longer-distanced road ride or a fun ride seeking bagels, coffee, or other refreshments.

Our members are encouraged to create their own rides! When creating your event be sure to include where and when your ride will start, your average pace, and how many miles you plan to ride. Bonus points for including details on planned stops.

Check the events calendar for rides or to create your own!

We believe that families benefit from sharing experiences together in the great outdoors. Many of our members fell in love with cycling - and with their parents - through their adventures on bikes. Whether you crave an Ice Cream Ride, a Show-and-Go, a random Spontaneous Ride, or some advice to help you figure out how to haul the little ones, we would love to welcome your family into ours.

We participate in and promote charity rides as well as rides sponsored by other clubs and organizations. The jolly cyclists pictured here ride from Oak Park to downtown Chicago each December to deliver gifts to children in need. We will include information about this ride (and others) in our events section. Drop us a line if you've got a ride you would like us to include in our calendar.

If you seek something off the beaten path you just might find like-minded individuals here who share your passion. We've got members who are into shredding gravel, snow rides, folding bikes, extended overnight bike camping trips, fat tire bikes, tandem cycling, cargo bikes and nearly any other way to roll which some may consider to be slightly non-traditional. We don't think you're weird. We think you belong.
